Seniora: Opposing the STL is a losing game
The head of the Future Movement bloc MP Fouad Seniora commented on recent claims that if the Syrian regime is ousted, Islamic movements will come to power, calling them “ridiculous and irrelevant”.

Seniora pointed that these statements will lead to a Christian-Muslim conflict. Former PM praised Christians’ role in Lebanon and the region stressing that it is unacceptable to portray Christians as being targeted in the region.

Asked about the Special Tribunal for Lebanon’s (STL) funding Seniora said “If Lebanon will not pay its share from the STL funding it will add on the existing debt and whoever puts themselves on opposition to the tribunal is playing a losing game.
