Military Judge interrogates Samaha
The Military Investigation Judge of Beirut Riad Abou Ghaida interrogated on Wednesday Former Minister Michel Samaha regarding the alleged phone calls with the Syrian presidential adviser Bouthaina Shaaban.

After the interrogation process that lasted for almost 2 hours, Samaha met with his wife and daughters under auspices of his lawyer, son of the lawyer Sakher Hashem for almost half an hour.

According to LBCI 2 or 3 phone calls were conducted between Samaha and Shaaban.

The information branch has transferred these calls to Judge Saqr Saqr who in turn referred them to Judge Riad Abou Ghaida to analyze them especially that information mentioned in the calls indicate that Shaaban is aware from the subject of transporting explosives.

Judge ABou Ghaida is supposed to refer the results of the interrogation to Judge Saqr Saqr to take appropriate action in this issue.

Samaha was arrested on Thursday 9th of August by the Internal Security Forces’ Information Branch on suspicion of involvement in a plot to carry out terrorist attacks in Lebanon in collaboration with Syria.
