Hassan's anonymous companion: a closer look

Ahmad Mahmoud Sahyouni was born in 1964 in al-Bireh, Akkar.

He is married and he has 3 children.

Sahyouni was enrolled in the ISF in the year 1987 as a gendarme and was qualified in ranks reaching a warrant officer and was promoted after his death to a Chief warrant officer.

He served in several positions including the Emergency Regiment, Office of the Director General, and the Information Bureau.

He is a holder of various awards including the Award of National Unity, as well as the Military Medal in addition to written congratulations from the ISF Director General.

Chief Warrant Officer Sahyouni was awarded the War Medal and the Medals of the Internal Security and Ministry of Interior and Municipalities after his martyrdom.
