Wazni asks Salameh to implement decision on forensic auditing of state administrations' accounts
Caretaker Minister of Finance Ghazi Wazni sent on Tuesday a letter to Central Bank's governor Riad Salameh hereby asking him to implement the Parliament's decision on conducting forensic auditing of all state administrations’ accounts.

The letter stated the below:

“Pursuant to the decision of the Parliament adopted in its session held on 11/27/2020, following discussion of the President of the Republic's message to it regarding forensic auditing, which stipulated that: “The accounts of the Central Bank, ministries, independent interests, councils, funds and public institutions shall be subject to, in parallel, for forensic auditing without any hindrance or invoking banking secrecy or otherwise.”

The letter added: “After consulting with the Prime Minister, and in kindness to our previous relevant meetings and consultations, we wish you to implement the decision of the Parliament, and to subject all public administration accounts to forensic autiding in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, and with preserving the state’s rights for any party.”
