Salameh says could not appear before Judge Aoun for security reasons

Public Prosecutor in Mount Lebanon Judge Ghada Aoun summoned Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh to appear before her on Wednesday, to interrogate him on the file of waste in subsidized dollar.

Salameh's lawyer Shawki Kazan and the bank’s finance director Mazen Hamdan appeared before the judge instead.

A later date will be set for the next hearing session with Salameh, who was represented by his attorney, excused for security reasons.
