Bassil from Bkerke: New government should be able to achieve reforms

Head of Free Patriotic Movement Gebran Bassil visited on Friday Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai at Bkerke.

"We agreed that the new government should be able to achieve reforms and that the same standards should be adopted in its formation," Bassil said following the meeting.

He also noted that discussions tackled the Beirut port blast, stressing need for transparency in the investigation.

Bassil concluded by voicing hopes that Lebanon would be able to get out of its ordeal.
