Ibrahim says from Bkerke security is under control

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai met on Wednesday with General Security head Abbas Ibrahim at Bkerke.

Following the meeting, Ibrahim said that security in Lebanon is under control, adding that it is true that security gets affected by politics but security apparatuses are working to keep it fully under control.

He also noted that the pressing social situation in the country will definitely reflect on the security, adding however that he does not see that things will go out of control.

As for the mediation that is carrying out between Rai and French president Emmanuel Macron, Ibrahim said that Patriarch Rai is doing the biggest role, voicing hopes that happy endings will be reached.
