Bassil: Upcoming Cabinet must lead country and determine its future

Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Gebran Bassil delivered on Sunday a televised speech.

During his speech, Bassil stressed that the upcoming must lead the country and determine its future under exceptional circumstances.

Bassil noted that Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri cannot be entrusted alone with reforms, blaming his political approach for the country’s economic and financial policies.

On another note, he said that the expertise rule was breached not only with the prime minister but with the ministers also.

“What does it mean to give two ministerial portfolios to a single minister such as foreign affairs and agriculture or social affairs and environment? What specialty is this?” Bassil went on by saying.

This as the FPM head voiced hopes that US President-elect Joe Biden will return to the policy of dialogue and not to the policy of isolation and sanctions.
