The Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry announced on Monday that a phone call was held today between Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov.
The telephone conversation tackled the political and social crisis that Lebanon is going through whereby emphasis was placed on the need for the swift formation of a mission government headed by Hariri, who won the majority of votes in the Parliament and was assigned by President Michel Aoun to form a Cabinet.
Both officials also tackled Russia’s aid to Lebanon in combating Coronavirus, including sending a batch of vaccines to Beirut.
