Maronite Bishops said on Wednesday that protests that took place yesterday night “show the utter failure of the political authority to deal with this situation due to its reluctance to form a mission government.”
These comments were made following their periodic meeting in Bkerke whereby they called for the acceleration of the investigations in the Beirut port blast without any political intervention and the release of those who are proved to be innocent.
They also called for cooperation with the International judiciary since some victims of the blast are non-Lebanese.
On another note, the Bishops also voiced hopes that vaccinations would be done based on the requirements of justice and humanity.
