Jumblatt meets with Saudi ambassador Bukhari

Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat received on Saturday Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari at his residence in the Chouf town of Mukhtara.

“We stand before a shared historical responsibility to affirm that we are with the Arabism of Lebanon,” Bukhari said.

“We have been and will remain Christian and Muslim Arabs as long as the Mukhtara Church remains and its mosque remains,” he added from the Mukhtara.

On another note, sources told LBCI that the Saudi ambassador said that “Houthis should take similar steps towards the Saudi peace initiative and to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.”
