Introduction to the evening news 06-11-2012

Three races are underway on the global, Arab and local levels. Each one has a particular importance. In the US, Obama and Romney engaged in an electoral race, which will determine the fate of several global issues, particularly the Syrian issue.          

On the Arab level, a race is underway between France and Britain to gain the diplomatic trust of Saudi Arabia, as diplomacy seems to be the passage to the commercial file. In this context, following the visit made by French President Francois Hollande to Saudi Arabia and which included billions of Euros worth of deals, today the British Prime Minister visited the Kingdom and also discussed a commercial deal.               

Separately, the local scene is witnessing a race between the economic bodies and the Syndicate Coordination Committee (SCC) prior to the cabinet session expected to be held tomorrow. Accordingly, the SCC declared that if the cabinet fails to refer the pay scale draft law to the Parliament a general strike will be staged on Thursday; however, the economic bodies announced that they will launch the last alarm in this regard.
