Sidon Gathering: Hassan’s assassination set the country aback

Officials and dignitaries from the southern Lebanese city of Sidon held a gathering whereby they condemned the recent assassination of head of the information branch at the ISF late Brig. Gen. Wissam el-Hassan, stating that “his death set the country aback and drove it back to the realm of fear.”

The gathering hoped that Lebanon would “bounce back” from the negative repercussions that resulted from the assassination and other security setbacks sweeping over the nation.

The gathering also lauded the stances of Lebanese president Michel Sleiman, praising his efforts in maintaining some sort of unity between all Lebanese political factions.
