Mansour: Resolving Syria's crisis is an ethical obligation

                 
Lebanon's Foreign Minister, Adnan Mansour, said on Tuesday that resolving the Syrian crisis is an ethical obligation to which "we must all contribute, so as to guarantee security and stability in the region."           

During the inauguration session of the Arab and European Foreign Ministers gathering in Cairo aiming at tackling Syrian crisis developments, Mansour said that both the region and Lebanon are being affcted by the repercussions of Syria's violence.                

Going over the Arab Spring and the Arab people's earnest and conscientious activities intended to achieve democracy, Mansour shed light on the continuous Israeli injustices  toward Palestinians, violations against 1701 and occupation of Lebanese territories.             

"Solving the Palestinian cause remains an obligatory path to anchor stability in the Arab world," he remarked.              

Mansour said Israel's practices; violating 1701, occupying the Syrian Golan, refusing Palestinians right to return and poring over weaponry, mainly nuclear ones, was a major threat to Arab security.            

In that respect, the Minister reiterated calls for a weapons free region and urged whoever was "keen on peace", to exert needed pressure on Israel to make it comply with peace obligations.
