Al Rahi: Lebanese society is corrupt; we call on the security services to close border crossings and prevent smuggling

Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al Rahi presided this morning over Sunday Mass at the summer patriarchal edifice in Diman.

Al Rahi said in his sermon that it has become the duty of the country’s leaders, parties and popular movement to consult among themselves and meet in order to take national decisions and decide the necessary steps to push the state to change its performance before the great collapse that will not save anyone.

He called for expediting the formation of a rescue government that is up to the challenges, neutral, non-partisan, and consists of highly qualified people.

He also regretted that the Lebanese society is corrupt, calling on the security services to close the border crossings and prevent smuggling.
