Casino Du Liban contract workers block roads, demand permanent tenure

Contract employees at the Casino du Liban (CDL) blocked on Monday the internal road leading to the casino, demanding full-time employment.

Despite their peaceful movement, security forces reinforced their presence.

Meanwhile, CDL's Board of Directors convened to find a solution for this issue.

It is worth noting that representatives of various political movements are expected to join the sit-in to support contract workers.

For its part the CDL administration informed contract employees that it had retreated from ratifying the full-time employment agreement effective as of 2015.

The administration asked contract workers to resume their work as a prerequisite to complete negotiations regarding their full-time employment.
