Mikati discusses with World Bank delegation social safety net program, reforms
Prime Minister Najib Mikati received on Wednesday a delegation from the World Bank, headed by the Regional Director of the Mashreq Department at the World Bank Group Saroj Kumar Jha, the Bank's representative in Lebanon Mona Kouzi, Lead Social Protection Haneen Sayed, Lead Water Resources Management Amal Talbi, energy expert Sameh Mubarak. That in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Saadeh Al-Shami and former Minister Nicolas Nahas.
 
During the meeting, they discussed the means of setting up a social safety net program and working on reforms in the fields of energy and water.
 
Mikati also received a delegation from the Contractors Syndicate headed by Maroun al-Helou, whereby the latter addressed "all issues related to the syndicate in order to find solutions of contractors’ problems with PM,” explaining that “they receive their dues at the dollar exchange rate of 1500, while the cost is ten times higher."
