Chedid to LBCI: There is no escape from Kordahi's resignation

Lebanon’s former ambassador to the United States Antoine Chedid considered on Sunday, during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI, that “the mediator between Lebanon and the Gulf should have an influence on the different parties, asking “how can the US put pressure on Hezbollah?”

He mentioned that “he thinks that the US does not want chaos in Lebanon, but rather wants a minimum level of stability in the country, and is able to convince PM Najib Mikati to be more patient,” adding that “Washington must hold a discussion to persuade the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to remain in contact with the Lebanon.

“We must take steps to resolve the crisis between Lebanon and the Gulf, as no one wants the government to resign at the present time and there is no escape from the resignation of Information Minister Georges Kordahi,” Chedid stressed.
