Education Ministry official Hilda Khoury emphasizes the need of vaccination

Director of counseling and guidance department at Education Ministry Hilda Khoury stressed on Saturday during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show on LBCI that it is necessary to re-apply preventive measures due to high numbers of Coronavirus infections and deaths registered in Lebanon.

She pointed out that “it is importance to take the vaccine in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” adding that parents should not send their children to schools if they have any cold or influenza symptoms.

“Awareness campaigns are important and necessary at this stage, as well as canceling all celebrations and activities that do not take into account preventive measures, such as sports activities inside and outside the school,” Khoury explained.

She also underlined the importance of getting vaccinated to continue the academic year, since the general situation in the country does not allow the return of distance learning.
