PM Mikati launches ration card support platform, ESSN project
Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed on Wednesday during the launch of ration card support platform and Emergency Social Safety Net project, that he will wait a little more before calling for a cabinet session, hoping that “everyone will be convinced to separate the Council from everything that has nothing to do with it, especially since they agreed that judiciary is independent.”

He added that he is “still seeking to solve the economic, financial and social crises,” pointing out that government work is ongoing to complete the required financial, economic, service and social files, in order to approve them whenever cabinet sessions resume.

"We are meeting today under difficult economic, financial and social conditions that our people are going through, which can no longer be addressed except by emergency measures,” Mikati mentioned.

He then announced the launch of ration card support platform and Emergency Social Safety Net project, which aims to ease people’s difficult living conditions with the funding and support of World Bank and UN, as well as the follow-up of the Parliament.

Mikati also indicated that the payment process will start at the beginning of the new year with a retroactive effect from January 2022, after the end of registration starting today until two months.
