Economy Minister Salam receives World Bank official Mirza Hassan

Economy Minister Amin Salam met on Wednesday with head of the World Bank Group's Executive Board Mirza Hassan, whereby he confirmed that the World Bank is keen to support Lebanon, pointing out that “the Ministry is keen to cooperate closely with the World Bank in order to achieve results in the coming year.”

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the further implementation of existing projects and the development of new support projects, especially with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).

This meeting comes as a follow-up to Minister Salam's visit to Washington, which included meetings with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund that dealt with general economic affairs, infrastructure projects and the existing World Bank projects in Lebanon.
