Bou Habib: Americans told Egyptians to exempt Lebanon from sanctions to extract energy

President Michel Aoun received on Thursday Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdallah Bou Habib, who briefed him on the outcomes of his visit to the United States and his meetings with US officials.

Bou Habib confirmed that the Americans told the Egyptians to exempt Lebanon from the sanctions to extract energy, revealing that US Senior advisor for Global Energy Security and mediator in the U.S.-sponsored talks between Israel and Lebanon Amos Hochstein will pay a visit to Lebanon within days to advance the file of demarcation of the maritime borders.
