President Aoun: Interruption of cabinet sessions negatively affected the regularity of procedural authority work
President Michel Aoun stressed on Monday that the interruption of cabinet sessions negatively affected the regularity of the work of the procedural authority, and increased the accumulation of negative repercussions on the general situation in the country.
 
He said that he has previously emphasized the need of respecting the principle of separation of powers, and what happened in recent months was not in accordance with this constitutional rule, which was reflected in many of Lebanese people’s life demands.
 
“The President of the Republic and the Prime Minister cannot issue exceptional approvals if the cabinet is not resigning,” the President explained.
 
He then requested to start studying the livelihood issues of interest to citizens, provided that the agenda will be studied subsequently.
