Property owners stage protests, call for an end to “old leases”

Property owners staged a protest before the Ministry of Justice on Monday demanding that restrictions pertaining to old leases be nullified. They called on House Speaker Nabih Berri to deal with their case fairly adding that their movement will continue until a new law that is just and fair is issued.

The property owners demand that responsibility be lifted off them in cases of potential collapse of old buildings.
