Bouchkian to LBCI: Global conditions made ministry decide to ban exports of Lebanese products-[VIDEO]
Industry Minister George Bouchkian said on Saturday that the decision to ban the export of Lebanese products is not intended to impede the cycle of the local economy.
Bouchkian’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said whereby he noted that "global conditions made the ministry decide to ban exports, which is to protect food security in Lebanon."

"We will secure commodities and items for the Lebanese market for as long as possible," Bouchkian stated.

He concluded by saying that "work is being done daily for development and improvement in order to prepare for a promising industrial future."
