Archbishop Sayah to LBC: No party boycotted Rai’s visit to the U.S.
Archbishop Boulos Sayah confirmed on Friday that “no Lebanese political party in the U.S. has boycotted the visit of Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai.” S

ayah denied that certain parties will not participate in the reception, confirming that a large number of Lebanese in the U.S. are seeking to arrange private appointments with Rai. Sayah told LBC that “everyone is very welcoming to Rai,” adding that the patriarch is scheduled to meet with U.N. chief Ban Ki-Moon. S

ayah denied allegations that Rai has exerted pressure on the nuns of Saydat Al Jabal monastery not to host any Christian convention on October 23, adding “I have asked the patriarchate about the conference to be held in the monastery of Saydat Al Jabal and he was not aware of the matter.”
