Storm hits Lebanon, snow falls and traps citizens

The 12-hour storm that hit Lebanon flooded with its rains the coastal cities and some areas in Bekaa and covered the mountains with snow.

Snowfall in the mountains at an altitude of 1500m obliged the citizens to use snow chains. Such is the case on the road between Tarshish and Zahle.

This as, Sour's ports had close due to heavy waves.

Earlier in the morning, several buses transporting passengers were trapped on the mountainous roads of Akkar due to the accumulation of snow. LAF teams succeeded in rescuing passengers.
