Health Minister Abiad: No monkeypox cases have been reported so far
Minister of Health Firas Abiad confirmed on Saturday that no cases of monkeypox virus have been recorded in Lebanon up to this point,” but that “precaution is a duty, especially during the period when travel between countries increases.”
 
Abiad’s comments were made during an interview with Sky News Arabia, whereby he said that “with regard to bacterial epidemic diseases, they adhere to the procedures required by the World Health Organization in terms of preparing isolation places and other special procedures whenever a report is received about any infection.”
