Binding parliamentary consultations: The latest
Lebanon's binding parliamentary consultations to name a new prime minister have begun on Monday.
 
Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saab decided during the consultations not to nominate anyone, Lebanese Forces MPs, neither did Lebanese Forces MPs, and MPs Neemat Frem, Fouad Makhzoumi, Jamil al-Sayyed, Abdul Rahman Al-Bizri, Oussama Saad and Michel Daher.
 
However, Lebanon's Kataeb party, Democratic Gathering and the North of Confrontation bloc named Ambassador Nawaf Salam.
 
while the Northern Parliamentary Gathering bloc announced it had named Caretaker PM Najib Mikati.
 
While the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects bloc, the Northern Parliamentary Gathering bloc, the Independent National bloc and MPs Michel el-Murr, Imad al-Hout, Hassan Mrad, Jamil Abboud and Jean Talouzian nominated Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
