Mikati meets Haniyeh, FAO representative

Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Monday with the Head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian movement Hamas Ismail Haniyeh at the Grand Serail.

During the meeting, Haniyeh wished Mikati success in forming a government so that it can address the existing problems in Lebanon and affirm once again that it is one of the great and clear signs of Lebanon's unity and stability “because Lebanon's unity, stability and security are a strength for Palestine.”

“We affirm our solidarity with the brothers in Lebanon in the face of the Israeli attacks and aggression against its wealth and borders," praising "the unified Lebanese position on the issue of border demarcation with occupied Palestine and with regard to its natural resources," he added.

On another note, Mikati met with Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Nora Orabeh Haddad in the presence of Caretaker Minister of Agriculture Abbas al-Hajj Hassan.
