Introduction to the evening news 17-12-2012

Like this day, two years ago, a Tunisian young man, who does not own anything but a vegetable cart, set himself on fire.                      

Fire did not only burn Mohamed Bouazizi's body, but also it spread to burn squares of the Arab world with cries of freedom, dreams of a spring, and its delusions.                              

In Sidi Bouzid, the hometown of Bouazizi, Tunisian protesters hurled stones today at the President Moncef Marzoukiasked and the Parliament Speaker Mustafa Ben Jaafar as an expression of anger regarding the Tunisians rule after the revolution.                                     


In Egypt, a new revolution is born and opposition forces are preparing new demonstrations tomorrow against the draft constitution scripted by the Muslim Brotherhood.                                                      


As for Syria, another Palestinian tragedy is added to the Syrian crisis.                  

The Yarmouk camp is bleeding as various other camps bled before, aerial bombardment yesterday, and mobilization of tanks today.              

From Cairo, Tunis, Manama, Sanaa, Tripoli, and Damascus, various other capitals are still waiting.                         

Bouazizi's body took 18 days to recover, but how many years will the journey of the Arab Spring last?
