Rai from St. Louis: Lebanese should resolve differences through dialogue

Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai reiterated Saturday, from St. Louis, his appeal to all the Lebanese to resolve their differences through dialogue.

During a dinner in his honor, attended by more than 600 people, Rai said that “the Arab World is going through a real tragedy and the salvation of Muslims and Christians lies in uniting with all other sects.”

Rai echoed the Pope’s words, saying “Lebanon is an exemplary model of coexistence”, stressing the importance of sustaining the Christian presence in the Middle East.
