ISF arrest international gang specialized in stealing motorbikes

ISF’s General Directorate announced on Thursday that after receiving information about an international gang specialized in stealing motorbikes, intensive investigations were conducted and the International Crime Control Bureau at the Judicial Police department succeeded at revealing the identity of the gang’s members and arresting them.

2 Syrian nationals and one Lebanese citizen were arrested during the ISF’s raids in Burj Hammoud, Sabra and Choueifat. 5 stolen motorbikes were also confiscated.

The directorate added that the suspects were interrogated and confessed to stealing tens of motorbikes (Harley Davidson) from different areas in Beirut and Mount Lebanon to smuggle them later through the Syrian borders.They also confessed that they had robbed 3 clothing shops in Dawhet Aramoun and Dekwaneh.
