Rai: Not electing new president is sabotage act
Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai stressed on Sunday that the failure to elect a new president is a sabotage act.
 
Rai confirmed during his Sunday sermon that they continue to pray for the election of a president, asking “how can Parliament consider vacancy to be possible, but election is impossible?”
 
“If the deputies did not rise up against themselves and elect a sovereign president, the people should not be blamed if they rose up against them,” Rai then indicated.
