Mikati from Bkerki: When we make a united decision, we can achieve what we all want

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati met on Thursday with Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai, whereby he underlined the strategic importance of the maritime border demarcation deal between Lebanon and Israel is, as well as the need to avoid a war in the region, stressing that “when we come together and make a united decision, we can achieve what we all want.”

Following the meeting, Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai indicated that unity is necessary in this particular circumstance, and must be present to elect a new president of the republic, regardless of the person and the opinions of each party, noting that “work must be done very seriously to elect President in this circumstance.”
