Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church for the Archdiocese of Beirut Elias Audi considered on Sunday that “everyone is trying to form a government that does not represent the aspirations of the citizen, and everyone is seeking to define the specifications of a president of the republic, each according to his aspiration.”

“The officials celebrated the completion of the agreement on the demarcation of the southern maritime border, with the help of the mediator, so do they need a mediator to resolve their differences, lead them to form a government, elect a president, and begin the reform process,” Audi stressed during his Sunday sermon.

He went on to ask “what does the demarcation of the borders, in its necessity and importance, offer to people who are hungry for food, medicine, water, electricity, order, justice and stability, if a quick rescue operation does not begin?”
