Geagea: the major mistake committed by Christians is staying on the sidelines

LF Chief Samir Geagea said on Saturday that Christians may not stay in the East unless if they were able to prove that they are at its origin and considered that one of the major mistakes committed by Christians is staying on the sidelines of events.

Geagea said to "Zahle al-Fatat" magazine that march14 forces supported from the beginning the Syrian Revolution without interfering in military affairs so the revolution does not contradict the principles of March14.

Geagea pointed out that everyone should keep in mind that various members of Hezbollah are dying in Syria and this is an issue that the Secretary General of Hezbollah talked about proudly in one of his speeches.

As for running to the Presidency, Geagea said that he will not be a 'traditional candidate' for presidency.

"I am proceeding in my work normally, but if the elections approached and some blocs found me appropriate as a president; then, I will run for presidency so I may achieve my goals and projects in Lebanon," he said.

As for the situation in Zahle, Geagea said that what is happening in Zahle is a real revolution and concluded by saying that 'revolution does not end immediately, it has to go through various stages."
