MP Dib to LBCI: despite all difficulties, the cabinet was successful

Member of the Change and Reform bloc, MP Hekmat Dib said on Monday that the current cabinet has been successful despite all the difficulties that faced it, adding that it is within its mandate that the petroleum file was reactivated.

MP Dib said to LBCI during Nharkom Said that the petroleum law was passed by a certain majority and assured that it is currently on the right track.

As for the government's responsibility with respect to the security situation, MP Dib asked: "Who was behind Tripoli's incidents and attacked the headquarters of the government holding the Free Syrian Army flags?"

"Who is Sheikh Ahmad Assir to strain the sectarian atmosphere?" he added.

The government has been absorbing shocks in the midst of a heated regional environment, Dib said.

Regarding the displaced Syrians in Lebanon, Dib said that he is against lawlessness on the borders and added that various armed members entered the Lebanese territories.

In this context, MP Dib called on security apparatuses to take strict measures in this regard and added: "we are with the entry of unarmed civilians, but Lebanon cannot accommodate this number of displaced persons."

Speaking of the elections, MP Dib said that "they" will not participate should the 1960's electoral law be applied and mentioned that "they will be following a peaceful mechanism if need arises."
