Mikati arrives in Jeddah, meets with various officials

Prime Minister Najib Mikati arrived in Jeddah on Sunday to participate in the third Arab Economic Summit held under the chairmanship of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz.

In this context, Mikati along with the Lebanese delegation met with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the presence of the Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.

The Palestinian President said that he discussed with Premier Mikati the file of the displaced Palestinians in Lebanon.

Mikati also met with the Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi and discussed with him various issues pertaining to the Arab world.

For his part, al-Arabi said that the current Arab situation leaves significant implications on various countries including Lebanon.
