Leader of the Progressive Socialist Party Walid Jumblatt wrote on his Twitter account commenting on a published video clip for the events of May 11, 2008, in the mountain: "Reconciliation and dialogue are more important than returning to the past. God's mercy on the martyrs, every martyr of Lebanon, and the greatest victory is the victory over oneself in order to build a new future. We are all children of this homeland, Lebanon."
