U.S. Defense delegation tackles cooperation with Sleiman

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman met at the Baabda Presidential Palace with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Mathew Spense, who visited him in the company of the U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Maura Connelly.              

Talks reportedly touched on regional developments, as well as means of boosting military cooperation between both countries.               

"The U.S. continues with its commitment to the Lebanese Army aid program," Spense assured.

Sleiman, earlier engaged in talks over the electoral law developments, during his meeting with Kataeb leader, Amine Gemayel.  
              
The President convened with the General Security Director, General Abbas Ibrahim, over the affair of the Lebanese abducted in Syria's Azzaz.                  

Head of the Lebanese Industrialists Association, Nehmat Efram, also visited Sleiman today with talks featuring high on the means to boost the industrial sector in Lebanon.
