Diab: Discussions ongoing with full time professors at Lebanese University

Minister of Education Hassan Diab said that discussions with the Association of Full-Time Professors at the Lebanese University are ongoing until a solution is reached. “The Lebanese University needs an array of new salaries and the projects suggested by the ministerial committee are not very far from reality”, Diab said after meeting with a delegation from the Association, headed by Charbel Kfoury.

For his part, Kfoury said that the discussions with the ministerial committees are continuing, “but the strike is also ongoing and the Association will not breach the university professors’ particularity given that there is a historical correlation with the judges’ salaries”.
