MP Youssef: Telecommunications Ministry plagued by corrupt deals

Future Bloc MP Ghazi Youssef said on Tuesday that corrupt deals are running rampant in the Telecommunications Ministry adding that he referred the cases to the Supervisory bodies on Monday.

Youssef mentioned that he raised a lawsuit before the Audit Bureau and the general prosecutor who will investigate in the case.

Youssef said in a press conference that he discussed this issue with PM Najib Mikati who in turn raised the file to the Audit Bureau.

Youssef pointed out that on the 16th of January, PM Mikati referred Telecommunications Minister Nicolas Sehanoui for investigations since the latter is spending $US 2 Million on advisers.
