Sleiman: Lebanese borders shall not close in the face of a terrified or hungry Syrian national

President Michel Sleiman said on Thursday that Lebanon will not close its borders in the face of a "terrified, injured hungry Syrian national", revealing that he suggested an aid plan during the donor’s conference to help the Syrian refugees.

On the Orthodox Gathering proposal, Sleiman said that he will be referring a constitutional review to the Constitutional Council, emphasizing that he will not be the only one since there are many who oppose this draft law that “incites division.”
