Syrian regime troops withdraw from border sites

Syrian regime troops withdrew Friday morning from many sites along the border of the Bekaa regions of Flayta, Kara and Jarjir after having withdrawn from border sites in Maarat Rankouf and Assal al-Ward 15 days ago.

According to eye witnesses, these regions, extending from the Baalbek mountains to Rass Baalbek, have become devoid of Syrian forces and are being used mainly to smuggle stolen cars from Lebanon into Syria.
