Kahwaji: Any offending arm stretched against the LAF will be cut off

LAF commander Jean Kahwaji who visited the town of Mreijat to extend his condolences to the family of Major Bachaalany said Sunday “those who think that the army’s mission to fight terrorism which seeks to undermine stability and coexistence would cease, are mistaken.”

Kahwaji stressed that Arsal’s crime was premeditated, adding that the perpetrators used "barbaric means which are contradictory to both Christian and Muslim beliefs."

“The LAF will not back down until criminals are punished no matter their identities and affiliations”, he said, stressing that any offending arm stretched against the LAF will be cut off.

Bachaalany and First Sergeant Ibrahim Zahraman were killed on Friday when unidentified gunmen attacked a Lebanese Army patrol in the border town of Arsal. For the latest updates on this story, click here.
