MP Gemayel meets Algerian ambassador to discuss regional developments

MP Sami Gemayel, the head of the Kataeb Party, received the Algerian Ambassador, Rashid Belbagi, and engaged in discussions about the evolving regional dynamics amid the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza.

According to a statement released by the party, Gemayel expressed his concerns about "the seriousness of the developments in Lebanon" and stressed the necessity of avoiding any descent into a war that the country can ill afford.

Gemayel also emphasized the importance of the Lebanese state taking a central role in controlling decisions related to war and peace, keeping them within its purview.

He underlined the significance of halting the cycle of violence and pursuing a just solution that alleviates the suffering of the Palestinian people, guided by the Arab Peace Initiative and the two-state solution.
