Introduction to the evening news 16-10-2011
A week burdened with questions is looking for answers:

What will happen next Wednesday given that the Trade Unions Coordinating Body will not budge on the strike in protest at the proposed wage increase? What position will the General Labor Confederation take accordingly? Is it going to be in favor of the cabinet or the coordinating body?

What will the cabinet do during Tuesday session?  Is it going to dodge the state budget issue in a bid to postpone the STL funding issue as much as possible?

Lebanese Hezbollah deputy chief Sheikh Naim Qassem answered this question today, saying: “Should we fail to reach an agreement, the cabinet should put the issue to the vote and accordingly, the entire cabinet must comply with the decision of the party winning most votes.”

However, will PM Najib Mikati favor such a “sportsmanship” when it comes to disapproving the funding of the STL? Thus, each answer entails a series of questions.

As for external developments, the Syrian issue made headlines when Arab League delegates announced that Arab foreign ministers will discuss whether to suspend Syria from the regional body at a meeting on Sunday.
