Sleiman: Prisoner swap should be a lesson for Israel

President Michel Sleiman said on Tuesday that “the prisoner swap should teach Israel that its policy of war and evasion from peace is useless and deprives the region of peace and stability.”

Sleiman called for engaging in peace negotiations on the grounds of the Madrid conference, the Beirut-Arab initiative and the cessation of settlement.

Sleiman was briefed by Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour on the discussions of the Arab foreign ministers conference.
