MP Harb: Berri's draft law is not the solution

MP Boutros Harb reiterated the necessity of carrying out the elections on due time under an electoral law that grants all Lebanese parties apt representation.

Following his meeting with Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tineh on Monday, Harb revealed the decision of March 14's Christian figures and MPs to carry out a detailed study for the proposed ideas, mainly pertaining to Lebanon as one electoral district.

On another note, Harb said, "had Berri's draft law been acknowledged as the solution, it would have been adopted."

He also pointed out that efforts are being exerted to bring different points of views closer in order to achieve a unified electoral draft law.
